To match technologies more appropriately with adopters, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) held regional events through the Technology Transfer Day project.
The second batch of the ROs Meet TechGens was held in February 2019
The first of the two regional events is the “Regional Offices (RO) Meet TechGens”, an activity where the ROs get to know the technology generators, see what their technologies are, and identify what needs these technologies address.
Interested businesses and individuals would then be invited to the “TechGens Meet CEOs.”
In this event, technology generators can pitch and promote their technologies to possible adopters.
Here, the chief executive officers (CEO) or business representatives can talk with the technology generators and express their interest to adopt their technologies.
Since its introduction in 2018, the ROs Meet TechGens and the TechGens Meet CEOs have featured 45 technologies in the different regions of the Philippines.
A total of 252 participants attended the events.
