With its continuous pursuit in inspiring the new generation of Filipino scientists, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) will host a webinar for the youth.

As a part of a week-long series of events, the Science Youth Fest 2021 will be conducted on 29 July 2021 to immerse the students in a series of comprehensive talks with topics on intellectual property (IP) and innovation in today’s modern world.

The Science Youth Fest is happening on 29 July 2021 as part of the Week-Long Accomplishment and Culminating Activity of Special Projects by DOST-TAPI

To support the commercialization of DOST-generated technologies aimed at strengthening the country’s intellectual property (IP) and technology portfolios, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) conducted several training sessions on Freedom to Operate (FTO).

FTO is a due diligence process undertaken by IP rights owners to identify potential risks of infringing activity or patent barriers in commercialization.
